Here someones of my pictures. ^^ I don't know where do you find them but it was easiler to ask me for anything.

About your asks, there is just a few Super Comboy games (a little bit more than 30) released. After that, some games was imported from Japan like Seiken, Romancing Saga 2 and more. About real Super Comboy games, packaging is a little bit cheap but original. 2 games are translated in korean : it's about Hanguk Pro Yagu and Dragon Ball Z 3. The others is generally US eproms with a packaging looking like PAL versions or japanese.

Could you create a list of the codes of those games? SNSN-ZL-KOR for Zelda as an example.
I know its a lot of work, but would you mind to scan the cover and backside of the boxes?
Also, romdumps of the games with official translation are still needed. You could ask d4s or ikari for example, they can dump the games for you
I know, this is quite a lot I am asking you to do but its more like begging you to. I've never seen so much Comboy stuff in any collection! You might be one of the best recource gatherers on the net.
Preserving something rare like this would be a pretty important treat for the international SNES Community.

the infamous Super Comboy ad made it seem like Captain Tsubasa 3 might've also gotten translated... Course, it also seems to have the protgaonists of Dragon Quest V and Seiken Densetsu 2 as well, wthout any gameplay footage of either...

For the serial number, it's easy because it's the same root of games titles. If you take the Zelda example, SNSN is the 1st part for the system (SNSP for PAL version), ZL is about the game title and KOR for the localisation.

Example for F-Zero : SNSP-FZ-KOR

Kiddo : Captain Tsubasa is just a japanese importation. On the ad, it's the IV not the III. You can see the cardridge near the system. Same thing for Dragon Quest V and Seiken Densetsu 2, just imported.

Unfortunately it's not THAT easy. Some codes are completely random, check out the list MarcoEagleEye, lytron and me plugged together with the rare information in the internet. It's on the first page of this thread.

But still, there are examples like Dragon Ball Z Super Butoden: SNSN-AZ4K-KOR.
Its "Z2" in the European and Japanese release.

Wrong ! The Dragon Ball Z released in Korea is the 3 ! The french version has got a AZ4F, F for France. In Japan, it's AZ4J, J for Japan of course. It's for that the korean has a K. The ad shows the 1st DBZ but it's not the one really released in Korea. maybe imported too. I've got a newpapers ad if you want.

Yeah, in case of SD2, I expected something like this. I found a Korean translation hack for SD2, and, by the number of known Korean translation hacks, it wouldn't make sense to consider this as a "more proper translation" hack as there are a few German or English ones.

Nevertheless, the Korean gamers seemed to enjoy SD2 nonetheless; on scans of a Korean gaming mag, SD2 was on a high position (/on the top?) of the charts.
