Yo, StoneAgeGamer. Any chance of getting the custom cartridge shells seperately? They're sexy as hell! I mean, there's a whole bunch of people (I guess around 100 or so) who've gotten/will get their SD2SNES from Ikari himself - but only the PCB. I can't speak for the others, but I for one would definitely be very interested (I'd pay you generously )

First problem is that the ones you ordered from Ikari_01 are different than the ones from KRIKzz. Apparently something with USB port is different which causes the shell to need to be modded differently. This is what Ikari_01 told me. So there is no way for me to provide anything like this for people who already purchased from Ikari_01 unless I was sent one of his boards.

Secondly we would only consider this is there was enough demand. Cart shells are not fun to make and are time consuming. After the PCB they are the most expensive part of the Deluxe Edition normally because of the labor involved. If you think a cart shell would be like $10, you would be mistaken. It would have to be priced to be worth our while which my guess is most people wouldn't consider buying it at that price.

Finally, the current issue is that we can no longer meet demand on any of the Deluxe Edition flash carts. We are working on fixing this by getting some more people to help produce the carts, but it could be months before it begins to happen. So when we go through all the work the make a shell for a Deluxe Edition we look at it this way. We could sell that shell to someone $XX or we could sell the a Deluxe Edition for $XXX. It makes no sense for us to take that shell and sell it when we make considerably more profit for the work on a Deluxe. Some people look at the Deluxe Edition and think "I don't need a case and SD card, if he just removed that I would get it way cheaper." This is not the case again, the PCB + Shell (not literal cost of shell, but labor cost) is the majority of the price. A cart-only version wouldn't be like $60 cheaper than Deluxe Edition. At the most it would be maybe $15 - $20 cheaper.

So maybe someday we can do this, I am unsure. Really I don't know how many SD2SNES KRIKzz plans. Will he only make a few hundred or will it be something he continues to make as long as it sells well. I don't know, so at this time everything is reserved for Deluxe Editions only. Sorry.

It's just so DAMN PRETTY I think it will sell like HOT CAKES!!! The demand must be crazy! If I wasn't a little short on money, I'd maybe double-dip. It's certainly very tempting.

Thanks for kind words and actually understanding. I have seen in other posts people call us "stupid" (at least that is what Google translated it to) for making Deluxe a priority. There are limited amount of boards, it makes no sense for us to sell just boards out of the goodness of our heart when we make significantly more profit reserving them for Deluxe. We invest a significant amount of money to do this.

If supply meets or exceeds demand we will be happy to make kits and do stuff like that, but its just not a priority at this time.

Welche meinst Du? Die von ikari01 oder im gp2x Shop? ikar01 arbeitet ja seine "Liste" ab und wann der gp2x - Shop versendet kann ich dir nicht sagen. Er muss ja erstmal die produzierten Platinen von Igor (KRIKzz) bekommen und diese werden wohl aus der Ukriane versandt, denke ich.

ich wollte fragen, ob die Flash Card noch verfügbar ist bzw. nochmal kommt? Ich habe vor ein paar Wochen erst noch gesehen, dass sie vorbestellbar ist und jetzt ist sie überall ausverkauft!?

Hatte leider letztens genug zu tun (Operation, Hund gestorben usw.) und würde mir in den Arsch beissen, wenn ich die Karte verpasst hätte ! Hab schon das Ultra16 verpasst.

Ich denke das Du Dir da keine Sorgen machen musst. Die Platine wird ja nicht mehr nur von ikari_01 per Hand gemacht, sondern auch von KRIKzz produziert. Deshalb denke ich das noch einige von produziert werden

Was mich noch interessieren würde ist

Ist das sd2snes auf eine bestimmte Stückzahl begrenzt wie das Ultra16
oder kann man davon ausgehen das es ein bisschen länger *verfügbar* ist.
Weil das Ultra16 ist dann wenn es mal angeboten wird als Lehrling nicht wirklich
finanzierbar
